Which Claude Model Is Best for Video Generation?

Claude video generation uses connected renderers rather than a native Claude video model. The best choice depends on source type, clip length, resolution, and budget; the live selector shows every supported preset and exact credit charge.

H3 Max Turbo

Render text-to-video or image-to-video clips from 5 to 15 seconds in about the time it takes to watch them. Choose 480p or 768p; approved presets cost 19 to 89 credits.

Grok Imagine

Create text-to-video or image-to-video clips from 6 to 30 seconds. Choose 480p, 720p, or 1080p; approved presets currently range from 11 to 177 credits.

Seedance 1.5 Pro

Use text or a starting image for smoother motion and polished scenes from 4 to 12 seconds. Quality options run from 480p to 1080p and cost 6 to 67 credits.

Seedance 2.0 Mini

Create efficient text-to-video or image-to-video drafts from 4 to 15 seconds. Choose 480p or 720p; current approved presets cost 12 to 94 credits.

Veo 3.1 Fast

Generate a 4-, 6-, or 8-second 720p clip with native audio for 65 credits. Veo supports landscape and portrait output from text or one starting image.

Kling 2.5 Turbo

Choose a 5- or 10-second Pro-quality render for cinematic motion. Text-to-video and image-to-video presets cost 31 or 62 credits respectively.

Text to Video

Start from a written scene. Include the subject, movement, camera direction, lighting, and style so the selected renderer receives one focused production brief.

Product Video Generation with Claude

Start with one product photo, compare two visual directions, then animate the version you choose. Use the dedicated product workshop for the guided workflow and a total credit budget.

Three Aspect Ratios

The generator offers 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1 where the selected renderer supports them. Veo uses 16:9 or 9:16, while Kling image-to-video follows the source image.

From prompt to finished clip

From a Claude Video Generation Prompt to a Finished Clip

Each request becomes a tracked task. A useful Claude video generation prompt defines the subject, motion, camera direction, lighting, and style before model, duration, and quality determine the price.

1

Choose Text or Image

Use Text to Video for a scene built from the prompt alone, or Image to Video when one uploaded frame should guide composition and appearance.

2

Set Model, Seconds, and Quality

Pick only from combinations accepted by that model. The server validates duration and resolution again instead of trusting a modified browser request.

3

Review the Exact Credit Cost

The Generate button shows the approved charge for the active preset. Credits are reserved only when the task is created successfully.

4

Track and Download

Rendering runs asynchronously. Keep the page open or revisit video activity later, then download the returned clip when the provider finishes.

Video Generation on Claude Code, Web, or MCP

Claude Code video generation and the browser studio use one Claude Imagine account. Work visually on the web or let Claude call the same server-priced renderers through remote MCP.

Browser Generator

Use the visual controls when you want to compare models, seconds, quality, aspect ratio, and credit cost before submitting a render.

Claude Video Generation Skill or MCP?

There is no separate public video Skill today. Connect the hosted MCP once, then say 'Use Veo,' 'Use Seedance,' or 'Use Kling' in plain English. Claude Imagine maps the family name to the current model and also accepts duration, quality, aspect ratio, and an optional public starting-image URL.

One Balance and Task History

Web and MCP requests use the same credit ledger. A long-running Claude Code video generation task can be checked later from the same activity page used by browser requests.

Credits, Limits, and Automatic Refunds

Video pricing is calculated from the selected model, duration, and quality. These limits reflect the current validator and credit ledger rather than an estimated marketing allowance.

Videos Start at 6 Credits

The least expensive approved preset is Seedance 1.5 Pro at 4 seconds and 480p. The highest current approved preset costs 177 credits.

Unlock Enough Credits for a Starter Clip

Every account's first H3 Max Turbo clip (5 s, 480p) is free, and the 9 signup credits still cover a 6-credit starter video. Connect through MCP to unlock 6 bonus credits and earn up to 15 free credits in total.

Subscriptions or Credit Packs

Subscriptions refresh credits and raise concurrency. One-time packs add non-expiring credits without starting a subscription; both balances work for video.

2,000-Character Prompts

The request validator accepts a focused prompt up to 2,000 characters. Extra repeated keywords do not improve a render and can make motion instructions less clear.

Automatic Failure Refunds

If the provider reports a failed task, Claude Imagine marks it failed and restores the credits reserved for that request automatically.

Audio Depends on the Model

Veo 3.1 Fast includes a generated audio track. The other approved presets currently request video without generated audio, so plan separate sound design when needed.
